Briton arrested for duping Nigerians N70m
A British man has been arrested for duping Nigerian businessmen of the sum of N70 million under the pretext of supplying them diesel.
Before now, most Internet fraud are inexplicably linked to Nigerians but in this case of international large scale scam, a British man, Saheed Muhammad Cameran, has been nabbed forduping several Nigerian business men to the tune of N70 million naira.
The 48-year-old Camaren who is of Asian ancestry but born in the UK, was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), of the Lagos State Police Command for defrauding seven Nigerian businessmen of the sum under the pretext of supplying them diesel.
The international con man was arrested at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja, as he was about boarding a plane and fleeing the country after he had fleeced the business men of their hard earned money.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the arrest of Camaren and said the case has been transferred to the Special Fraud Unit of the command to commence investigations.
